Athens Cultural Center Presents: Third Saturdays Free Film Series at the Riverfront Park with free popcorn provided by The Stewart House. Specialty cocktails will be available at the River Grill with a portion of proceeds going to the Athens Cultural Center.

Saturday 6/18/23 Showing: To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar

After much anticipation, the Athens Cultural Center is bringing back its Third Saturday’s Free Film Series with a stellar line up of films on its slate.

The film series will continue on Saturday June 17th with Beeban Kidron’s cult classic, To Wong Foo Thanks for Everything Julie Newmar (1995) in celebration of pride month. The Stewart House Grill will be serving up Chi Chi Tini’s drink specials in honor of the night. A portion of all drink sales will be donated to support the free film series. For those who want to make an entire evening of it, don’t miss the block party that will kick off at 5pm in front of Athens Cultural Center on 2nd street. As if all of that weren’t enough, rumor has it that a special guest will be in attendance for the evenings Q&A. Stay tuned for more exciting details to come.

Films in the Third Saturdays film series are scheduled to begin at sunset with rain dates set for the Sundays to follow.
