Challenge accepted! Team Stewie is an unstoppable force. We celebrated Memorial Day Weekend in style, Grand Opening weekend was a hit and we couldn't be prouder of our staff, or more grateful for the community that welcomed The River to Athens. 

Friday of our opening weekend was a great success. Local musicians Rick Surrano and 145 kicked off the weekend with a spectacular show. The Blues was in the house and so were so many familiar faces. The energy from the band and vibe from the crowd combined with the tides in our favor created an evening you had to experience to believe. Months of blood, sweat, and tears, brought to life and what seemed like a dream was achieved. "They" say it takes a village, and the village showed up in full support. Indescrible feeling, and for that, we thank you.

The River grill has proven to be a sight to see and an art in itself. With items like the Smashburger, Kielbasa sandwich, Shrimp roll, Chicken Tacos and Veggie Medley, we've proven to have a little bit of something for everyone. The choices of sides are so fresh and delicious, blistered snap peas, chefs "tater salad", and the house secret baked beans are equally as enticing, your choice of side becomes the nights most difficult decision. As it should be.
